Next Year's Class Session Dates

Mark May 1 On Your Calendar For Summer Registration!

The schedule's out for the 2025-26 class sessions with registration dates.   As always, registration may be done online or in person.

We're looking forward to another great season!

Wood Racket Tournament

Wed, May 28  |  10 am - 1 pm

Wood rackets will always have a place in the game of tennis.  Why?  Because they look cool, feel great to hit, and were the standard piece of equipment for hundreds of years (and not that long ago, in the grand scheme of things).  Remember when it was all about artistry over power?  Connecting on the center of the strings with a wooden racket is a uniquely satisfying experience...one that you will have over and over at our Wood Racket Tournament on May 28!  Divisions for intermediate men, women, and mixed.  $20 per player; RSVP at the front desk.

Parent-Child Tournament

Sat, May 31  |  10 am - 2 pm

What parent doesn't want to live that dream of playing matches with their son or daughter?!  You can, from 10 am - 2 pm on May 31, and make memories  to cherish forever.  We'll have two divisions: parent + middle school-age child, and parent + high school-age child.  The gender combination is flexible and format will be round-robin, so there will be lots of variety in opponents  and evenly-matched competition.  $30 per team; RSVP at the front desk.

Indeed, an occasion to remember!

Fooooorrrrrre!

Wed, June 25  |  9 am - 3 pm

If you participated in last summer's Herrick-Thomas Memorial Golf Outing, you will be delighted to hear that it's back at Pinecrest again.  You'll love envisioning the smooth check-in, great service, fun assortment of on-course games, attractive silent auction prizes, and incredible post-round buffet.  In fact, you've very likely been wondering for the past six months how to sign up for next year!

If you did not participate last year, here's your chance to atone for the gaffe by joining us on Wednesday, June 25!  Come one, come all for a day of FUNdraising on the golf course.  You don't have to be good; that's not what it's about (although if you ARE good, you'll have plenty of fun going for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt, and other opportunities to announce your greatness).  We're just trying to get people out doing something different with their friends & colleagues while raising money for a heck of a cause.

Proceeds fund the annual awarding of junior tennis instructional scholarships at The Racket Club.  To date over $60,000 has been awarded to 96 players who otherwise may not have gotten to learn the world's greatest game!  Visit our golf outing registration site to get in on the fun.

Classic Time!

Weekends of July 11 (Singles) & July 18 (Doubles)

Back and badder than ever is the McHenry County Classic!  The signature event of the summer features singles the weekend of July 11 and doubles the weekend of July 18.  Divisions for all genders, ages, and skill levels.  Come one, come ALL!  Register now at USTA.com.

The Outdoor Courts Project

What a summer of '23 it was with the four outdoor hard courts under complete and total construction!  See what transpired from the initial demolition through the laying of the asphalt to the installation of the fences to the application of the special ProBounce surface and on and on and ON!

While the project ended up taking a bit longer than hoped, players were in for quite a treat when they opened spring of '24.  Thank you for your patience, friends!
