Coming New Year's Weekend! The best pro tournament players, teaching pros, college players & high school standouts in the Midwest gather every year to compete for $6,000 in total prize money. Tournament proceeds go towards tennis instructional scholarships at The Racket Club for deserving young players courtesy of the Walt Herrick Memorial Foundation. You can help by playing, volunteering at the tournament, or by being a sponsor. Help the Foundation ensure a bright future for tennis in our area! Click here for the brochure and here for the registration site.
Want to make a difference in a deserving young person's life? Donate to the Walt Herrick Memorial Foundation and you will not only help this tournament happen, but you will also be helping the Foundation award tennis instructional scholarships to children in the coming years. Any amount, no matter how big or how little, makes a difference and is appreciated! And the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your contributions are tax deductible. The Open attracts all sorts of great players from Chicago, the Midwest, and even the entire globe. 2014 winner Marek Michalička was ranked as high as 235 in the world in 2016, and last year’s winner, Farris Gosea, is a world top 500 player this year. Half of the Big Ten schools send players and blue chip college recruits from Chicago can’t wait to test themselves against the big boys. These guys are really good!
We've got the best selection of clothes, shoes, racquets, and accessories in the northwest suburbs. Our stringing is done quickly & affordably -- next day if needed!
Check with us regularly to see if anything special is being offered...chances are there will be!
We are closed on certain holidays, while on others we may be open for reservations but not holding lessons or permanent court time. Also note that on occasions in which we have permanent court time but not classes, permanent court time groups will still meet but without their instructor. Click here to view the holiday schedule.
